Description

This student comes from a family of farm labourers. Her father gets about Rs. 300 as daily wages and her mother Rs. 200. The father has 40 cents which he shares with his siblings but this patch of land can be farmed only in one season. Hence they work for daily wages.

During the in-person review by the Aalayam team, we found that the student's living conditions were tough. The family lives in a small house. The student has two younger sisters (in Class 12 and Class 10) and a younger brother in Class 4. She got to know about Aalayam through her classmate who is a beneficiary.

Based on the review, Aalayam has decided to raise Rs. 12,000 for the student's fees.
